​CÔTÉ ÉMELIE
(1873-1954)

        ​Émilie Côté was born in Saint-Apollinaire, Lotbinière, daughter of Arcade and Marie (Therrien). This is where there is a link with the Boissonneault’s Côté’s and the “maternal” Côté. Both can be traced back to Jean Côté (dit-Costé), the first of the family to arrive on the shores of Isle d’Orleans in 1634.

            Émilie or “Mélia” as she was known to the family, was the mother of fourteen children.

            ​Mélia died at age eighty-one, August 11, 1954, and is buried alongside her husband in Saint-Flavien, Lotbinière, Québec​
