MARIE-MADELEINE BLOUARD (1708-1747)
​Mathurin Blouard was the first of the Blouard’s who came to Nouvelle France from Anjou, France. He married Marie-Marguerite Paulet in Saint-Pierre, Isle d’Orleans. These were Marie-Madeleine’s grandparents. They moved from the island to settle in Saint-Antoine de Tilly.
​Madeleine was born December 21, 1708 in Saint-Pierre to father Mathieu and mother Madeleine (Ferland). At least two of her younger siblings were born in Saint-Antoine de Tilly, which suggests she was a young girl when the family left Saint-Pierre.
​She married Jacques Côté September 8, 1731, in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, Canada. They had five children; Madeleine, Charlotte, Jean-Baptiste-Augustin, Marie-Genevieve and François de Sales.
​Madeleine died January 26, 1747, one year after the birth of her last child, leaving behind her husband and five children.
