Zilda was born October, 16, 1929 to parents  George Ira Lunney 1910–1982 and Zena Robins 1911–2001.  Her parents were living at 249 Pape Avenue East York, according to the Canadian census of 1931.(1) 

       The family consisted of Zida’s grandmother, Margaret Robins, and her son,  Thomas, as well as Zilda’s husband and her two other siblings, George and Norma. 

This Anglican family immigrated from England in 1910.

       Zilda married Darcy Bell in 1948 in Toronto, shortly after having left school. Zilda would have been eighteen years of age and Darcy, twenty. 

They had a child soon after the marriage and while Zilda was his high school sweetheart, the marriage would not follow the steps of his parents. The couple separated before the child was two.

A second child was born in 1950 and given up for adoption.

Zilda remarried Claude Lacasse and would have three more children.

All these children are living.

Zilda died August 30, 2006 in Oshawa, Durham, Ontario, Canada(3)
