Darcy’s second wife would be Joy Parameter. The daughter of Harold "Harry" Parmeter (1908–1949) and Eddytha Elizabeth Waud (1908–1999), Joy was born December 3, 1934 in St Catherines, Lincoln, Ontario 

        Joy had one brother and two sisters. At least one of the sisters is still living but her older brother John passed away in 2017.

        Joy and Darcy lived in Scarborough until their two older children were in high school at which point they moved up north to Sudbury.

        The couple had five children four girls and a boy all of which are living with children and grandchildren of their own.

        Joy died in 1996 after a battle with cancer. She is remembered fondly by all who knew her.  She is buried alongside Darcy in Maple Crest Cemetery, Dowling, Greater Sudbury Municipality, Ontario, Canada.
