The following pages are dedicated to my Bell family. Originally, a fierce Border Clan, the family migrated to Ulster Northern Ireland, due to pressure from the English government and the plantation settlements of James I (England) IV (Scotland) in the early 1600's. Hard times forced them to leave Ireland, in the early 1800's some for Canada, others elsewhere. My ancestors were an early family to settle in Meadowvale, Toronto Gore, Ontario, later to be known as Peel County.
